1. A headset with a chip in it. That means software updates. You buy a new product that changes with your phone. As the OS evolves, so does your headset.
2. Truly wireless. Two independent pieces of hardware for your hearing pleasure without any strings attached (sorry for the pun).
3. The AirPods case. You've been told that their autonomy is about 5 hrs. Yes, but the case is a battery power station for your AirPods that can recharge them many times. Every time you stick one inside it, it starts charging and that's super fast.
4. Find my AirPods. Let's say you take off one of your AirPods and you place it somewhere that you forget. Using the Find my iPhone app, you can play a loud sound from the earpiece that will guide you to the lost item easily. Remember if you want to check how this works, remove it from your ear first because the sound is really loud.
